Vi Midnightbloom

Vi Midnightbloom is one of the main characters of this story.

Personality

Vi is an energetic and outgoing young witchlet, to a point she might be too much for people who aren't as outgoing as she is. She has a curious nature and talks a lot. She wants to learn everything she can about magic and tries to make friends with most people.

She doesn’t like to be alone and gets easily anxious when alone for a long time. She feels uneasy about puppets and dolls, and doesn't like to be near them.

Story

Vi was conjured by Obsidian one day, and didn’t seem to give reason for her latest creation’s existence. First few years Vi was raised by Obsidian’s assistant and her older siblings, Valpuri and Hex. Vi used to be rather doll-like when little, barely moving and mostly quiet. When meeting her first friends, Silvain, Oberon and Charon, she started to get more lively and open, much to the annoyance of her mother.

Since Vi is Obsidian’s creation, her mother can change and modify her child’s very being, and she has tried to get rid of Vi’s more energetic behavior but has not been successful with it.

When her mother isolated herself from the outside world and her assistant went missing, Vi started to stay with her grandmother till she started at boarding school.

Now that she is out of there, she has been assigned with Penny as her familiar to protect and keep Vi out of trouble.

Magic

Vi has a lot of magic potential which allows her to use a lot more magic than most human witches, but it’s still limited which will result in her getting groggy when using a lot of magic.

Her main use of magic is summoning and she uses friendship book as her grimoire for that purpose.

She can summon either the impression of a person or part of the person to her aid. Using her own pool of magic she can power summon’s unique spells and powers.

Relationships

Penny

Penny is Vi’s bodyguard/aide familiar who tries to keep things professional, while Vi wants to be friends with her outside of her duty. Vi seems to cling on to this woman a lot, much of Penny’s annoyance.

Vi and Valpuri do get along, though they are mostly separated by different interests and differences of their ages. She tends to baby Vi a quite a bit.

Vi and Hex are two nerd siblings, but Vi does end up being too much for Hex to handle sometimes. They tend to poke fun at each other from time to time, but it’s mostly friendly teasing.

Vi doesn’t feel comfortable around her mother and is clearly scared of her.

Silvain is very protective of Vi (actually he is protective of everyone in the group), while Vi doesn’t like being babied by him. He seems to be one of few people who can feel something being off about Vi.

While Vi and Oberon have similar interests when it comes to magic, they don’t really interact with each other outside the friend group meetings much to Vi’s dismay. Oberon not being the biggest fan of Vi’s outgoing and energetic personality, while Vi wants to be friends.
